Hi, Rick - Can you write me back on my personal e-mail (laffandponder@yahoo.com) because the class site's system gave me a "bounceback" indicating the e-mail address we have for you is not valid or non-functional? Thanks, friend.

Wonderful video and amazing photography. It really captured the connection you and Linda have so lovingly built and maintained over the years. Congrats!

The slideshow won't display on my profile here, but it now plays from the classmate videos link at the top right of the page. Thanks Paul Quistgard, for letting me know.

My Monday night ritual southern style old-time string band jam, a.k.a. "redneck meditation"...playing tunes until each dies of natural causes, just because we can, and of course because it feels good!

If someone could please report to this site's webmasters the fact that it is impossible to show a YouTube video here, I would appreciate hearing when the issue is fixed. It is also impossible to copy and paste from text here, meaning it is fruitless to put the subject video's URL into a text message.

Hey everybody...
I've let a few folks know of my change in plans this week, but may as well say this to all. In the wake of difficulties paying to come to the 50th reunion (unable to send a US funds check out of Canada, and unable to pay online) I forfeited a good cheap motel option by a matter of hours. I then had to leave for a week to attend literary events in Toronto, a few time zones east of here, and by the time I came home ready to get on with S.R. travel plans I realized summer was truly upon us. The hot spell, a mere 80F. out here on the west coast, served to remind me how much I always found Santa Rosa's midsummer climate intolerable, and I realized if I came down there now I would be miserable for a week in order to have a few hours of fun connecting with old classmates. I have been made aware during this gathering of Class of 65 souls that there are several people who would like to meet up again, in fact quite a few more than I would have initially expected.

With this in mind I want you all to know I will be down there sometime before too long, quite possibly this fall, but at the very latest next spring (arguably the most beautiful time there, when all the hills are still a spectacularly vibrant emerald green that I've never seen anywhere else). It appears these pages are an excellent place to connect, as are email and facebook, and I'm happy to stay in touch with any and all people who are interested. I apologize for not making it down next week; I'd have been all over it if it had been set up for spring or fall.

I was going to make a two minute video and send it down to be played in my absence, and remembered that I have a wonderfully put together slideshow with music that was made by a photographer who came to do a shoot here a couple years ago. It says so much about Linda and I and our lives together that I can't imagine anything better than that, prefaced by this note. I will make an effort to be attentive to posting a little more about my life on these pages in the near future, and hope to add some more pictures in the next several days.

For now, here are a few images of me and Linda taken at home. We live in a 1925 cottage full of character, art, steampunk jewelry (a project we got passionate about a few years ago) and old instruments, and the place backs onto a ten acre park on a little saltwater inlet.

Whoever wishes to be in touch, please do.
Have a fantastic celebration...and stay cool!

Howdy, Rick -
Good to see you've included an outlet for your humor and talents additional to Facebook. Welcome. I know I'm not the only one who will love to see a picture of The Toad (your hot 'Stude from high school, as we well recall.)
Also, your occupation should include" musician", no?
