We recieved a note from Russ' widow, Darlene Fitzgerald, on 12/04/14 that stated the following: "I am Russ's widow, would like to let you know Russ passed from Brain Cancer on May 10, 2001. Would be nice if you would update his memoriam. After grad, Russ served in the US Navy with HAL-3, helicopter attack squadron in Viet Nam. He later worked as a service advisor for Ford, onto being a service manager for Ford. He left the Auto business in 98, and managed a landscape/snow removal business in Hailey, Idaho until 2000."

My belated condolences to Russ's family and friends. Over the years, from 7th-grade on, I had a number of classes with Russ and his twin brother Ross Patereau. While their physical appearance as twins was obvious, I found their personalities to be quite distinct. I have long since forgotten which of them had which characteristics, but I do remember one of them as being more of an introvert than the other. Regardless, to this day, I value their memory and the interactions we had so long ago. -Mike
