Jim Miller was another classmate I first met at SRJHS.  While Jim was relatively laid back/easy going, he was also a great competitor in athletics.  On numerous occasions, Jim and I were either teammates or opponents on the school yard basketball courts.  Jim was much more enthusiastic about baseball and, in fact, was a member of the SRHS varsity baseball squad in both our junior and senior years.  Rest in peace Jim.  - Mike

I first met Jimmy when we were in 4th grade at Mark West School. What I noticed and admired about him was that he was always a friendly, sincere and honest person. He really did treat others as he would have wanted to be treated...with dignity, respect and kindness. He was polite, well mannered and did not participate in the things that most of the other boys did like teasing girls and calling them unflattering names. He stood out. I remember admiring him for all his good qualities. I was truly saddened when we lost him.
